I was glad the item showed as in stock and actually was, which isn’t always the case. Ordering was quick and I didn’t get any backorder emails or random changes after checkout, so that was a relief. Nothing about the process really stood out as amazing, but it was straightforward and got the job done.

"Login Issues Are Really Frustrating"
I’ve been trying to log in for two days now, and it keeps telling me my information is wrong even though I’m sure it’s right. My instinct says something is off on their end. The password reset email also takes forever to come through, which just makes it more annoying when all I’m trying to do is check my order info

I was frustrated about the late fee. From my point of view, it felt unfair, especially since I didn’t feel like my situation was really taken into account. I get that policies exist, but it still didn’t sit right with me.

I returned a book I didn’t end up needing and figured the refund would take a while. It actually went through fast and showed back up on my card without me having to follow up. Simple process, no hassle. I’d use bkstr again.

"Digital book showed up fast"
I got a digital textbook from bkstr.com, and it was in my account quickly. I don’t remember exactly how long it took, but I was able to log in without any trouble and start reading before class. The access code worked too, which I was kind of worried about for whatever reason. Overall, it was fine for me.

I was comparing textbook prices across a few different sites, and eFollett ended up being the better deal for a couple of the books I needed. It wasn’t the cheapest option for every single title, but looking at my order as a whole, I definitely felt like I saved some money. I also appreciated being able to choose used copies instead of feeling pushed into buying everything new. My textbook ended up being on backorder, so I was definitely a little worried it wouldn’t arrive in time. eFollett did send me email updates, which I appreciated, and the book showed up just a few days later than expected. It wasn’t exactly “perfect,” but they kept me in the loop and it arrived in good shape. I’d give it “4 stars.”

"No weird extra charges"
I really appreciated that there were no surprise fees. Everything was shown upfront, which is such a relief because I hate getting to the final step and suddenly the total jumps for some random reason. It’s kind of like when you order food thinking you’re being responsible and then delivery fees make it feel like you bought a small appliance. Anyway, this was straightforward and easy to understand from the start.

Bkstr worked okay overall, and I did get my book without any real issues. But the inclusive access charge showing up before I fully understood what it was really annoyed me. I wish the opt-out process and billing details had been explained way more clearly upfront, because it felt like one of those charges you only notice after the fact.

"Arrived on time, but the packaging was disappointing"
The order did show up on time, so that was good, but... the packaging really wasn’t great. The box was kind of half crushed when it arrived, and the corners of the book ended up bent. For the price, I expected it to be packed a bit better. It’s not the worst thing ever, but yeah... still annoying.

I rented a book from them and it showed up way cleaner than I thought it would. There were just a few tiny marks here and there, but the pages were totally fine and easy to read. I had a quick question before ordering and support basically said, “most rentals have normal wear, but we make sure they’re usable,” which ended up being accurate. I’d definitely rent from them again...
